External Funding Search Tools, E-mail alerts, and RSS feeds

  • Duke University Funding Opportunities: Searchable resource provided by Duke's Office of Research Support and Office of Research Administration; includes information on funding sources for research and other scholarly projects.
  • Texas A&M University Office of Proposal Development: TAMU OPD maintains a comprehensive list of funding opportunities available by category, publishes a monthly e-research newsletter, and offers RSS Feeds for discipline-specific funding opportunities.
  • Foundation Directory Online, developed by the Foundation Center, provides the most current, accurate, and comprehensive information available on U.S. grantmakers and their grants, drawn from reliable sources, including IRS Form 990s, grantmaker web sites and annual reports, and the grantmakers themselves.
  • The Grantsmanship Center (TGCI) website offers several search options to find State, Federal, Foundation, and Corporate funding sources. Contact the Office for Faculty Research and Resources for access to the TGCI website.
  • Humanities and Social Sciences Net (H-Net) Funding Announcements: H-Net creates and coordinates Internet networks for research in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
  • The Art of Online Calls for Entry (CaFÉTM): Serves artists across the United States and offers weekly e-mails with new calls for entry and artist award opportunities.
  • Michigan State University Libraries: Grants and related resources, organized by disciplines and kept relatively current. Also general information on writing proposals and grant research.
  • Philanthropy News Digest (PND), a daily news service of the Foundation Center, is a compendium, in digest form, of philanthropy-related articles and features culled from print and electronic media outlets nationwide, via the PND e-newsletter or PND RSS Feeds.
