Research Travel Grant Application
UPDATE:
Faculty Research Travel Grant funding has been re-established for the 2022-2023 academic year.
To support faculty research and scholarship, the Office of Vice President of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development has allocated $100,000 to fund faculty research travel to national and international peer reviewed conferences for presentations of original scholarship. Eligible faculty members are those who hold full time graduate faculty appointments, are tenured, or tenure-track. Awards will range from $500-$1,000.
Priority in determining the award amount include:
- Graduate faculty with Full Membership (formerly Level II).
- Graduate faculty who teach or research in a doctoral program.
- Faculty who do not hold an Endowed Professorship or Endowed Chair.
- Non-STEM faculty and/or non-STEM presentations.
Applications may be submitted in four rounds and proposals will be reviewed once the application cycle has closed.
Round 1: Friday, September 30, 2022 application link opens; Monday, October 10, 2022 application link closes
Round 2: Tuesday, November 1, 2022 application link opens; Tuesday, November 15, 2022 application link closes
Round 3: Monday, January 16, 2023 application link opens; Wednesday, February 1, 2023 application link closes
Round 4: Monday, March 20, 2023 application link opens; Monday April 3, 2023 application link closes
Round 5: Monday, May 1, 2023 application link opens; Thursday June 15, 2023 application link closes. Submissions will be reviewed biweekly.

*Travel period being applied for must occur between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023.
*Faculty members are eligible for one travel award per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
