Grad ACT

The Granting Resources and Autonomies Act (GRAD Act) was enacted by the Louisiana Legislature in 2010 and amended in 2011. As part of that Act, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette entered into a six-year performance agreement which includes four performance objectives – student success, articulation and transfer, workforce and economic development, and institutional efficiency and accountability – and targeted outcomes for each of those objectives.

Specific goals for student achievement – first to second year retention rate, first to third year retention rate, graduation rate, award productivity, percentage of completers, dual enrollment participation, and passage rates on licensing exams – are included in the Student Success  section and are tied to the University’s Strategic Plan. The annual outcomes and University success in achieving those goals are included in the GRAD Act reports on the Louisiana Board of Regents website.
