Outstanding Advisor Award

Each academic year, the University recognizes faculty advisors with 3 or more years of experience and faculty advisors with less than 3 years of experience with an Outstanding Advisor Award. Evaluation criteria include: assessment by advisee; rankings from department and deans; statement on advising philosophy, methods, innovations and challenges, and consideration will be given to advisors who participate in orientation advising. The Outstanding Faculty Advisor Awards Selection Committee consists of: 2 academic deans, 2 professional advisors, 3 students, 3 faculty members, and the Director of the Academic Success Center serves as the chair of the committee as a non voting member.

• Two Academic Deans
• Two Professional Advisors
• Three Students
• Three Faculty members
• The Director of the Academic Success Center serves as chair of the committee as a nonvoting member, except in the case of ties.
